Heart-conscious nutrition
Omega-3
Keep nutrition in the picture.
A proposed omega-3 supplement focused on clearly labeled EPA and DHA. Nutrition starts with food; a supplement is an optional addition to discuss, not a shortcut to heart health.
In developmentNot available to purchase. Serving details, price, and launch timing have not been confirmed.
EPA and DHA are omega-3 fatty acids. They have roles in cell membranes and many body functions, including those of the heart and blood vessels. Fish oil weight alone does not tell you how much EPA and DHA a product contains.
Evidence, with its limits
What does the research say?
Research on omega-3 supplements and cardiovascular outcomes varies by population, dose, and formulation. An ordinary supplement is not the same as a prescription omega-3 medicine. We are not claiming that this planned product prevents heart disease.
Read beyond the front label
How to read a Omega-3 label
Look for separate EPA and DHA amounts per serving, the source of the oil, the capsule ingredients, and allergen information. We will not use a large fish oil number in place of those details.
Before adding it
A conversation comes first.
This is ingredient education, not a suggestion that you should take it.
The current sourcing direction is fish-derived. If you have a fish allergy, do not use a product without reviewing its final label with your clinician.
High doses may interact with anticoagulant medicines such as warfarin. Check with your clinician or pharmacist rather than adjusting medicines yourself.
Discuss use if you have a heart condition. This planned product is not a treatment or a substitute for prescribed care.
